Cloud Types

1. List three low clouds, three middle clouds, three high clouds, and one cloud with vertical development.
Stratus clouds, stratocumulus, and cumulus are all low clouds.


2. Which clouds look the best to you?
I like the way that cirrus clouds look. They are thin and whispy high clouds.


3. What kind of weather does that type of cloud bring?
Cirrus clouds usually bring fair pleasant weather.

Air Masses

1. The four most commom air masses that affect the United States are Continental Polar, Continental Tropical, Maritime Polar, and Maritime Tropical.
2. Continental Tropical brings my favorite kind of weather which is dry, warm air.
3. In cT weather, which is mostly the summer time, I like to do things outdoors. My favorite thing to do is go to amusement parks. When I can't do that I like swimming. Most of the time, my family and I have cookouts which I absolutely love! I also like to go shopping at the mall and buy cute summer cloths. Summer is also my time to go on vacation. I go to Virginia to visit my Aunt Lisa and Uncle Kevin. To me summer is the best time of the year.

Th'ee Greenhouse Effect

The greenhouse effect occurs when the atmospere absorbs

wavelenghts emitted by Earth. Some of the energy travels back to

Earth and is absorbed. The three most common greenhouse gases

are water vapor, carbon dioxide, and methane. These gases come

from the atmosphere naturally. Without the greeenhouse effect,

it would be very cold on Earth. The greenhouse effect heats the lower

atmosphere. Because of this I think that the greenhouse effect is very, very good.

Offshore Drilling

1. Offshore drilling is the drilling of oil or gas wells into water-covered areas locations
2. It is good because it generates a great deal of commerce in the United States
3. The high demand for the oil causes high gas prices
4. I don't really like offshore drilling. I think that we should use alternative energy resources like solar energy that is better for earth

Cleveland Activity

This volcanoe is a part of Aleutian islands in Alaska. It is about 939 miles from Anchorage. It is 5676 feet above sea level. There are many different types of volcanoes, this is a stratovolcanoe.

This vocanoe first erupted in 1828 and last erupted in 2007.
